Strategies don’t fail on paper. They fail on people.

Inner Development Kit builds the human capability that makes strategy executable – the missing 90% that decides whether your strategy lands, or stays on the shelf.

Research backed tools used by leaders, teams, and organisations across 5 continents, in 7 languages.

Strategy is 10%. The 90% is human.

Strategies don’t fail on paper. They fail on the people who have to deliver them.

Inner Development Kit closes that gap.

We help you build the human side of strategy – with three tools that work together:

1. The tangible dialogue tools – dialogue cards, skill cards, and an assessment card. Easy to use. Sparks deep reflection and conversation from the first minute. Used by leaders, teams, and organisations across 5 continents, in 7 languages.

2. The Online Assessment – a digital assessment for individuals, teams, and 360. See how well you master each of the 25 inner skills across the 5 dimensions. Reflect on which skills matter most for a specific goal or challenge. Walk away with a concrete first step for developing the skill you’ve chosen. Try the free version – or upgrade for the full experience with optional AI recommendations.

3. Bold facilitation – Sara, your consultant. Leadership training, team development, strategy implementation, and train-the-trainer courses (online and offline). With more than 20 years of experience, Sara helps teams and leaders reach their outer goals by developing the inner skills they need to get there.

Inner development for strategy execution and team performance

You know the signs.

Where strategy execution fails:

  • The strategy sounds great in the boardroom. Then nothing changes in operations.
  • People agree. But their behaviour doesn’t shift.
  • Middle management doesn’t translate intent into action.
  • Change loses momentum after three months.

Where team performance stalls:

  • Meetings run long. Decisions don’t stick.
  • People agree in the room. They complain in the corridor.
  • No one speaks up when they see the problem.
  • The team is smart. The results don’t follow.

Sound familiar?

These problems aren’t about the strategy. Or about the people. They’re about the gap between the two – the human capability to actually deliver what you’ve decided.

That gap is where inner development works.

When you build the inner skills your strategy depends on:

  • Strategy becomes executable – because people have the capability to actually do it
  • Teams move from surface alignment to real alignment – with trust and psychological safety as the foundation
  • Leaders hold complexity – not just manage tasks
  • Reflection becomes action – not reports that get filed
  • Change lands – and stays

About Sara

Sara is an independent leadership consultant, facilitator, and educator based in Copenhagen.

She has more than 20 years of experience helping leaders, teams, and organisations succeed with strategy, change, and inner development – from high-performing executives to young entrepreneurs, across industries and cultures.

What Sara believes:

Real transformation starts within. And it happens when the process is designed to create involvement, honest reflection, and dialogue.

Why Sara built the Inner Development Kit:

To close the gap between change theory and real action. Between the human side of leadership and strategy execution. Between serious work and playful engagement.

Inspired by the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework, Sara translated 25 abstract skills into hands-on tools that are easy to facilitate – and impossible to ignore. And an outstanding online assessment tool that links outer goals to the inner development needed to reach them.

Sara’s credentials:

  • Official IDG Ambassador
  • Certified Co-Active Coach and Team Coach
  • Master in Leadership and Innovation
  • KaosPilot graduate
  • Background in responsible, long-term business development

The Kit is tested with her clients to:

  • Succeed with strategy implementation by applying inner skills
  • Create stronger teams with more engagement and psychological safety
  • Develop leaders others want to follow

What’s inside the Inner Development Kit?

Three tangible tools plus a facilitator guide. All practical. All research-backed. All designed to foster deep conversations – because that’s where insight becomes action, and outer goals become inner practice.

Why work with dialogue cards

Bold, direct, thought-provoking questions. 24 questions for each of the 5 IDG dimensions. They spark the conversations that don’t happen on their own. They open self-reflection about how you feel, think, and act – and create curiosity, meaningful dialogue, and stronger, trust-based relationships.

Perfect for team check-ins, coaching sessions, and Walk&Talks.

 The Dialogue cards
The Strength cards

Why work with skills cards

75 cards. 3 per skill. Each card puts one of the 25 inner skills into a clear, actionable statement. Use them to:

Recognizing your own strengths – and prioritize what to develop next.

Acknowledge others for their strengths to build motivation, strengthen relationships, and grow self-confidence

Sharing your own strengths with our team so they understand what drives you, and you see the team’s collective potential

Why work with Assessments?

A structured way to see where you stand on the 25 inner skills. It brings awareness to your strengths and your growth areas. – And becomes the starting point for structured, action-oriented dialogue in one-on-ones or with your team regarding where to develop to succeed with a specific goal or challenge.

Note: The assessment Tool is also available online in 3 versions: For individuals, teams, and 360. See more below.

The Assessments IDG-Score card
The How-to guide

The How-to guide

The Kit comes ready to use. The How-to Guide gives you exercises, coaching questions, and reflection prompts for every tool – so you can facilitate the Kit without any training.

If you want further inspiration and tips and tricks for your facilitation or a specific use case, see below in the Courses, workshops & talks seksion.

Online assessment tool for individuals, teams and 360

The online Assessment Tool helps you (or your team) see where you stand on the 25 inner skills – and reflect on which ones will help you reach a specific goal or work through a challenge.

Unlike most assessments, this one has few rating questions. The focus is on open-ended reflection tied to your real challenge – because reflection is what turns insight into action.

You get a printable report with your spiderweb, your top and bottom skills, and your reflections. Use it as a dialogue starter in coaching sessions, one-on-ones, team development, talent programmes, or recruitment.

The optional AI add-on gives you tailored exercise recommendations – based on the skills you’ve chosen and the goal you’re working with. More info in the Q&A below.

Try the free version – or go straight to Individual, Team, or 360.

“Free gets you the picture. Premium turns the picture into action.”

Facilitation is key – and most underrated leadership tool

Why facilitation is key

The best strategy in the world doesn’t move on its own. It moves when someone holds the room, asks the right question, and creates the space where people actually think, disagree, and decide together.

Sara is a certified Co-Active Coach and Team Coach, and a KaosPilot graduate. Facilitation runs through everything she does – because change doesn’t happen in the plan. It happens in the conversation.

That’s why every course, workshop, and talk is built on facilitation – the leadership skill that turns intent into action.

Monthly online facilitator course

Facilitation is a leadership skill you can learn.

In 2.5 hours online, you’ll build the confidence and technique to facilitate inner development in your own team or organisation – using the Inner Development Kit and Sara’s own approach.

You’ll walk away with:
Facilitation methods that create real engagement, not just intellectual agreement
Practical techniques for holding space, asking better questions, and guiding honest dialogue
Confidence to run workshops that create behaviour change, not just insight
Perfect for leaders, HR professionals, consultants, coaches, and educators.

Courses are held every month.

Workshops, courses and talks

Every session we deliver shares the same foundation: structured facilitation that turns inner reflection into outer action.

Unboxing the Inner Development Kit
– a moment of excitement!

This was my reaction when I unboxed the Inner Development Kit for the first time. I hope you’ll feel just as excited when yours arrives – and start exploring what’s possible.

The Kit turns the academic framework of the Inner Development Goals into tangible dialogue and facilitation tools. It helps educators, leaders, teams, and organisations create real, measurable outer change by working from within.

The Inner Development Kit – FAQ

What makes the Inner Development Kit different from other assessments and leadership tools?

Most assessments ask many questions, give you a score, and stop there. They are extractive – they take input from you and return a number, a profile, or a label. The work of reflection – the part where insight actually becomes action – is left to you, without structure or support.

The Inner Development Kit is built around the opposite principle.

  • Few rating questions. Many reflection questions.
  • Reflection and dialogue as the engine of value – not the score.
  • A structured path from insight to action, with optional AI-generated exercise recommendations.
  • A printable report designed to be shared – with a peer, a coach, a team – not filed away.

No assessment creates value on its own. Value comes from thoughtful follow-up: strong questions, clear priorities, and a real plan. That follow-up is built into this tool from the start.

For a deeper answer to how the online assessment tool compares to other tools like CliftonStrengths, DiSC, or Insights, see the detailed Q&A on the shop pages.

Yes! If you want to create profound changes or handle specific challenges, it starts within. When applying the Inner Development Kit to the specific challenge, it enables you to start the relevant dialogues and reflections needed in order for you to get a mutual understanding, discuss and prioritize what to do and how to do it.

If you’re looking for customized solutions, workshops, or training programs, have a look at the courses. And do not hesitate to reach out. We’d love to discuss your specific needs and how we might be able to support, inspire and help you.

The Kit is used by leaders, HR professionals, consultants, coaches, educators, and universities across 5 continents.

You’ll find it in leadership teams working through transformation, in higher education preparing students for complexity, in coaching sessions where deeper reflection is needed, and in networks where honest dialogue matters.

Some people also use it privately – to start honest conversations with partners or friends.

Inner development sits alongside other frameworks – but it does something distinct.

Strength-based tools (CliftonStrengths, VIA, HIGH5) identify your natural top strengths. They tell you what you’re already good at. Inner development asks the opposite question: which of the 25 capacities do you need to develop to reach a specific outer goal?

Personality tests (DiSC, Insights, MBTI, Big Five) describe how you tend to behave. Inner development treats the 25 skills as trainable capacities that grow over time — not fixed labels.

Performance management tools (OKRs, KPIs, 360° reviews) measure what you delivered. Inner development measures the human capacity behind the output. It’s forward-looking, not backward-looking.

In short: Inner development tells you what you can develop — to reach what you’re working toward.

Strength-based tools tell you who you are.

Personality tools tell you how you tend to behave.

Performance tools tell you what you did.

The kit includes:

Dialogue Cards – Bold, direct and thought-provoking questions (24 questions for each of the 5 IDG dimension) that encourage deep conversations and self-reflection.
Skill Cards – Translates each of the 25 skills into small sentences that are easy to understand and inspires how to develop the specific skill
Assessment Tool – A structured way to get familiar with the 25 skills, and serves as a brilliant dialogue and reflection starter in both one-on-one settings and with the team.

How-to-guide – a guide with various exercises on how to apply each of the 3 tools. Including follow-up coaching questions for each exercise.

All tools are printed on high quality paper to be used again and again in all kind of settings.

They work together.

The physical Kit is a set of tangible tools – dialogue cards, skill cards, an assessment card, and a how-to guide – designed to be used again and again in workshops, team meetings, and one-on-ones.

The online assessment tool is a digital extension. It gives you (or your team) a spiderweb, a printable report, and structured reflection tied to a specific goal – available for individuals, teams, and 360.

Most people use both. The Kit for ongoing facilitation. The online tool for structured self- or team-assessment.

Read more about the online assessment in the shop.

No. The Kit is designed for both experienced facilitators and complete beginners. It comes with a How-to Guide with exercises, coaching questions, and reflection prompts for every tool.

If you want to build stronger facilitation skills, our 2.5-hour online course is held every month – covering best practices, techniques, and ways to get the most from the Kit.

Yes. The Inner Development Kit already partners with universities, facilitators, and IDG-affiliated organisations across Europe – and we’re always open to new conversations.

We work with:

  • Leadership consultants and coaches who want to add the Kit to their practice
  • Universities and schools integrating inner development into their curriculum
  • Distribution partners with reach in new markets or language regions
  • IDG partners and organisations aligned with the framework

If any of this describes you, we’d love to talk.
