Strategies don’t fail on paper. They fail on people.
Inner Development Kit builds the human capability that makes strategy executable. The research backed tools are used by leaders, teams, and organisations across 5 continents, in 7 languages.

Strategy is 10%. The 90% is human.
Strategies don’t fail because they’re badly written. They fail because the human capability to execute them is underdeveloped – and that’s what most organisations underinvest in. The Inner Development Kit closes that gap.
Grounded in the Inner Development Goals (IDG) framework and informed by the research of Amy Edmondson, Otto Scharmer, and Peter Senge, the toolkit gives leaders, teams, and organisations a practical way to build the human side of strategy execution – and turn it into measurable outer results.
With the Inner Development Kit, you can:
- Make strategy executable – by building the human capability it depends on
- Move teams from surface alignment to real alignment – with trust and psychological safety as the operating system
- Lead through complexity, not around it – develop leaders who can hold uncertainty, not just manage tasks
- Turn reflection into action – not into reports that get filedDesign change that lands – and stays

Why work with your inner development?
Strategies become outdated faster than they can be printed. AI is automating the technical work. And the gap between intent and execution is widening in almost every organisation we work with. In that reality, human capability is no longer a development priority. It is a strategic one. The way leaders and teams feel, think, relate, collaborate, and act decides whether strategy lands – or stays on a shelf.
Take leadership, for example. Picture this: a leader is facing a resistance from the team towards a new strategy. A leader who is self-aware, open to feedback, and able to navigate uncertainty with clarity and trust will create a completely different outcome than one who reacts defensively or avoids difficult conversations. Inner development is the key to unlocking our full potential as leaders, employess, and agents of change!
Take a team, for example. Picture this: a workplace where there’s a spirit of collaboration, where everyone feels psychologically safe, and where the ideas flow freely! People are eager to move forward, and the energy is contagious. But when a team works on self-awareness, active listening, and shared reflection, it’s amazing what happens. Conversations become open, diverse perspectives are welcomed, and real engagement leads to stronger outcomes.
By working with inner development, you will:
- Develop a stronger connection to your self and awareness of your strengths
- Challenge your own mindsets and assumptions and become more bold and creative
- Build strong, trust-based teams of strong and self-aware emplyoees
- Act with courage, clarity, and purpose
- Create sustainable, messurable, long-lasting, and impactful change

About the Kit developer
Sara has 18 years of experience in leadership training, coaching, facilitation, and strategy development – from high-performing executives to young entrepreneurs – and across industries and cultures. While every setting is different, one truth remains universal:
Real transformation starts with processes designed to create involvement and honest reflection and dialogue – and results in human AND business growth.
Sara Øllgaard developed the Inner Development Kit to bridge the gap between change theory and real action. Between human growth and business growth. Between serious and playful actions.
Inspired by the Inner Development Goals (IDG), Sara has transformed the guide into a practical, hands-on toolkit that is easy to facilitate and deeply engaging. The tools have been tested with her clients to ensure they create the desired outcome:
- Building stronger teams with greater engagement and psychological safety
- Foster higher self-awareness, openness and well-being
- Motivate and empower teams and individuals to create sustainable change

What’s inside the Inner Development Kit?
The Inner Development Kit includes three facilitation tools: Dialogue Cards, Strength Cards, and an Assessment Tool. The tools are designed to be easy to use, engaging, and adaptable for both teams and individuals. They help spark deeper conversations, build self-awareness, and drive meaningful change through structured reflection and dialogue processes. The Inner Development Kit is inspired by Inner Development Goals.
Why work with dialogue cards
The Dialogue Cards encourage deeper conversations and new insights that might not emerge in everyday discussions. They create space for self-reflection about how we are, think and act, and they create curiosity, and meaningful dialogues that build trust-based relations and inspire action.

Why work with strength cards
The strength cards can be used for various exercises, eg. to:
Recognizing your own strengths to give you a deeper understanding of yourself and helps you focus on what to develop further.
Acknowledge others for their strengths to foster motivation, strengthens relationships, and build self-confidence.
Sharing your own strengths with our team it allows them to understand your motivation and behavior, leading to stronger connections, and a better understanding of your teams collective potential.
Why work with Assessments?
The Tool gives a clear visual overview that helps individuals and teams reflect on their current situation and what is needed to succeed with a specific outer challenge. By bringing awareness to strengths and growth areas, this tool is a great starting point to support structured and action-oriented discussions.
NEW: The tool is now available in an online version. See below.

How-to guide
The kit includes a How-To Guide with inspiration on facilitation techniques in both team and individual settings. The Guide provides coaching questions, reflection prompts, and exercises to deepen insights and foster meaningful conversations. This means that the tools can be facilitated without further instructions. If you want further inspiration, see the online courses.
Online assessment tool for individuals, teams and 360
The online Assessment tool helps individuals and teams identify their strengths and reflect on the skills they need to create the outer change they’re after.
Unlike most assessments, this one has few rating questions. The focus is on open-ended reflection tied to your real challenge – because reflection is what turns insight into action.
You get a printable report with your (or your team’s) spiderweb and answers, ready to use as a dialogue starter in any development process (teams, one-on-one settings, or as part of talent programmes and recruitment).
The extended AI-version adds tailored recommendations on how to work with the skills you’ve chosen, based on your answers.

In this short video, Sara Øllgaard guides you through the three tools in the toolkit: the Assessment Tool to map strengths, the Dialogue Cards to spark deeper conversations, and the Skill Cards to explore what it takes to master each skill.
Watch the video to learn how the toolkit can help leaders, teams and organisations cultivate deeper awareness, stronger collaboration and engagement the human edge AI can’t automate.
This video was recorded in one take to keep it honest and human. You may notice small imperfections – they’re part of speaking from the heart.
